Andrew Nickoletos’s key strengths are his ability to listen, simplify complex financial concepts, and look beyond the numbers. This is why, as a Financial Advisor at Precision Wealth Solutions, he is able to empower clients to clearly define their financial goals, make informed decisions, and feel confident about their financial future. His guidance and clear communication help clients gain peace of mind.
Andrew considers his greatest reward to be that every day, he gets to help people sleep better at night. “Knowing that every client who walks through our doors is being taken care of with intention and integrity is something I never take for granted,” he says. Recently, he has helped clients navigate some of their life’s most difficult moments, including divorce and the passing of a spouse. He points out that in those situations, financial clarity is more than just numbers. It is about being a steady hand during emotional storms. “Just being there to guide someone through that process, to listen, simplify, and support, has been some of the most meaningful work I’ve ever done,” Andrew says.
Andrew’s success can be attributed to his complete dedication to his work. He lives by his father’s advice, “If you’re going to do something, make sure you do it 100%.”
A Perfect Intersection of Two Paths: Financial Advising
Andrew’s interest in finance began at a very young age – all due to his grandfather’s interest in the stock market. Some of Andrew’s earliest memories of finance are sitting in his grandfather’s basement, watching stock tickers scroll across the TV screen. His grandfather not only watched but also explained to young Andrew what each number meant. “He didn’t work on Wall Street,” Andrew says, “but he simply loved the market and what it represented, which to him was opportunity, growth, and discipline.”
The moments that Andrew spent with his grandfather “planted a seed that never stopped growing.” Later, Andrew was fortunate to have a few “exceptional” mentors. They not only guided him but also helped him discover the path he wanted to follow in the financial services field. “I realized that my natural instinct was to help people, not just with money, but with clarity and direction,” Andrew says. “Financial advising became the perfect intersection of those two paths, mixing technical knowledge and meaningful impact.”
“It’s incredibly fulfilling to sit across from someone who’s unsure or overwhelmed and help them walk away feeling empowered and confident about their future,” he adds.
Prior to stepping into the role of Financial Advisor at Precision Wealth Solutions, Andrew served as a Wealth Management Banking Specialist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Before that, he worked as a Financial Advisor at Voya Financial.
Background in Marketing and Communication
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing/Marketing Management with a minor in Communication Studies from Baruch College. Before that, he studied Business/Corporate Communications at the University at Albany. He credits his education in marketing and communication, along with his early career experience in the field, for teaching him how to connect with people, which has proved to be an invaluable skill in his work as a financial advisor. “I’ve found that technical expertise only matters if you can translate it into something clients understand and feel confident acting on,” Andrew says.
His marketing background has equipped him with the insight to approach every conversation through a client’s lens. Whether he is breaking down an investment strategy or outlining a retirement income plan, his goal is always to “simplify without dumbing it down.” Andrew is known for making clients feel like they’re in the driver’s seat and not just along for the ride.
Challenges – Personal and Professional
Early in his career, Andrew believed that he just needed to keep his head down and work hard, and everything else would follow. However, he soon found that gaining a foothold in the industry takes time. His work ethic served him well, but he also had to learn the value of patience. Also, when he was in his twenties, not many took him seriously when he stepped into a room as a financial advisor. “In your twenties, it’s not easy being the advisor in the room when clients expect someone with more gray in their beard,” Andrew points out. He had to earn their trust through consistency, humility, and exceptional service.
The greatest challenge that Andrew faced was in his personal life. In May 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. “Suddenly everything was uncertain,” he recalls. It was a life-changing experience for him. “Coming through that experience, cancer-free changed everything for me,” Andrew says.
“I made a promise to myself that I would never give anything less than 100%, not just at work, but in life,” he adds. “It reminded me that every day is a gift and the work I do matters deeply.”
About Precision Wealth Solutions
Scarsdale, New York-based Precision Wealth Solutions, founded in 2016, provides clients with financial planning and wealth management services. It is known for providing accuracy, precision, and tailor-made solutions for each of the people it serves. Collectively, the firm’s team has 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. Andrew joined the firm in January 2022. According to him, at Precision Wealth Solutions, everyone takes pride in being relationship-first and planning-driven. They are not selling anything to their clients. Their focus is on guiding and educating them. “We walk with our clients through every season of life,” Andrew says.
What sets them apart from their competitors is their commitment to clarity, consistency, and compassion. “We offer big-picture thinking without ever losing sight of the small details,” Andrew points out. “Our team is constantly evolving, always asking hard questions about how we can do better.” And, that is why their clients know they are more than just account numbers to them. They are part of Precision Wealth Solutions’ family.
At the firm, everything Andrew and his team do is rooted in these four core values: transparency, communication, incredible service, and always acting in their client’s best interests. They believe in being completely honest with their clients. Andrew explains that for them transparency means, “no smoke and mirrors.” They make sure that their clients know exactly what they are paying, what they are invested in, and why.
The second core value communication has played a crucial role in the success of Precision Wealth Solutions. “Communication means we’re present, responsive, and proactive, not just when markets are up, but especially when times feel uncertain,” Andrew says. Their communication is well supported by their incredible service, another core value of the firm. Andrew underscores that white glove service is something they hang our hats on.
“Our clients know that when they work with us, we go above and beyond to make sure that they are taken care of no matter what the situation,” he adds. “And putting our clients first isn’t just a tagline, it’s our standard. We’re not beholden to products or quotas. We’re here to do what is right, always.”
These core values are more than just words for Andrew and his team. They are how they earn trust and build relationships that last generations.
The Role of Technology
Technology plays a major role in how Andrew and others at Precision Wealth Solutions deliver transparency and value. They are constantly auditing and upgrading their platforms in order to meet their operational needs as well as their clients’ needs. Andrew informs that most recently, they implemented a new financial planning platform that provides clients real-time access to their entire plan. “It’s not just a snapshot, it’s a living, breathing blueprint for their financial future,” he explains. “Clients can log in, see exactly where they stand, and track their progress at any time.” He believes that this kind of visibility creates trust and encourages engagement.
Financial Planning Is Ongoing and Evolving
“Life doesn’t follow a script, and neither should your financial plan,” Andrew says. So, at Precision Wealth Solutions, they take a flexible approach to financial planning. They treat it as an ongoing, evolving process. “We build flexibility into every strategy,” Andrew points out, “because we know that careers change, families grow, markets shift, and priorities evolve.”
They make sure to stay close to their clients through regular reviews, proactive outreach, and open lines of communication. This allows them to adjust in real-time, whether it is reallocating investments, updating retirement timelines, or helping navigate big life decisions like home purchases, business transitions, or estate planning. “We also emphasize education from the onset of our relationship, ensuring our clients understand not just what we are doing, but why,” Andrew says. “That level of engagement makes it easier to pivot with confidence as their goals evolve over time.”
Staying Ahead of Trends and Regulatory Changes
“This profession demands constant learning,” Andrew says, “and I embrace that”. He recently completed a six-month Advisory Academy, where he explored new strategies and planning techniques designed to better serve clients. It can be through streamlined systems or simply deeper, more intentional listening, he points out. Additionally, he reads to keep himself informed, in addition to engaging with thought leaders. He always looks at the industry with fresh eyes.
Additionally, Andrew informs that he is currently pursuing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, a long-standing goal of mine. He is equipping himself with the tools needed to meet clients where they are, and helping them move forward with clarity, no matter how the landscape evolves.
Family Is Everything
Andrew’s clients know that family is everything to him. “In most cases, it is everything to clients, too,” he points out. He also shares that he built his career in financial services not just to serve others but to create a great life for his wife and their two children. When Andrew is with his family, he is fully present. “That’s a boundary I protect, and my clients respect that,” he adds.
That said, Andrew also understands that he is in a relationship-based business, where communication is everything. So, if a client needs him, he makes sure to be there, whether it is a call at 8 a.m. or a quick check-in after hours. Andrew believes that maintaining a work-life balance is not about rigid schedules. He explains that it is about aligning one’s time with one’s values. “And that’s what I try to model in both my professional and personal life,” he points out.
And he also believes in setting expectations and leading with honesty.
Advice for Aspiring Financial Services Professionals
“Be patient” is Andrew’s advice for those starting out in the financial services industry. He points out that just like investing, building a meaningful career takes time. “Success won’t come overnight but when you do things the right way and for the right reasons, it will come,” he adds.
Another piece of advice that Andrew shares is one must listen more than one speaks. “You have two ears and one mouth for a reason,” he says. Clients want to be understood more than impressed. So, Andrew encourages aspiring financial services professionals to listen with intention and then act with clarity. This will make them stand out in the industry, he says.
“Lastly, remember this is a people business,” Andrew adds. “It’s not about products, performance charts, or perfect predictions. It’s about trust, and that is earned moment by moment, conversation by conversation.”
The Legacy!
Legacy is everything for Andrew. However, at the end of his career, he has no desire to be known for accolades or assets under management. Instead, he wants to be remembered as someone who did good for people, who showed up, who listened, and who made things simpler when life felt overwhelming.
“If in 20 years I am still working with the same clients who I truly love working with I can say that my legacy would be one that I am proud of, and I’ve done my job to the best of my abilities,” Andrew says. “That’s the legacy I want.”
